DAY VS TERM CHARTER

There are two types of charters you can book through Kotor Boat Tours; Day & Term Charter.

Day Charter is a yacht booking less than 24 hours. Day charters are quoted on an hourly basis.

Term Charter is any yacht charter over 1 day. Term charter prices are on a weekly basis, but if you require less than 1 week your quote will be adjusted accordingly.

What's included in my charter fee?

Your Charter fee will normally include the price of the yacht, the crew, and the yacht’s insurance.

What is APA?

Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA)

APA is charged in addition to your charter fee and is required to cover your personal expenses. This includes fuel, food, beverage, docking fees and any other expenses you incur whilst on charter. APA is calculated as an amount equal to 30% of the charter fee.

Any APA money not spent will be refunded to you, following the end of a charter. If your expenses exceed APA, you will be expected to reimburse the yacht as you leave.

How is Tax/VAT calculated?

VAT in the Montenegro is 21%. Yachts that cruise into international waters may be subject to a lower tax rate.

How do Charter payments work?

No any deposit required. The payment is due on the day of the trip, plus any additional costs (like APA & VAT) are due before your charter start date.

Do I need insurance?

General insurance is available on commercial yachts, but it is recommended that charterers hold their own insurance such as and not limited to travel insurance, cancellation, curtailment, personal accident, medical personal effect’s and liability insurance.
